On Saturday 24th, we had another great day with 28 people playing Croquet at the Meadows.
The weather was kind once again and with refreshments on offer, a great time was had by all.
As usual the Croquet was played in the best of competitive spirit and with great hilarity on many occasions.
Eventual winners were Walter Brown and Beth Livingston with runners up being Ken Hunter and Christine Brown.
After the presentation of prizes, the bus returned to Penicuik for the BBQ.
A special vote of thanks to Jean Lennie who opened up her lovely garden for the evening and who also provided some lovely home baking to complement the salads and the BBQ fare cooked perfectly by our chefs for the evening Ian Baxter and David Anderson.
It was quite a late night for some who eventually wandered home a little worse for wear in the early hours of the morning.
Thanks to all who helped and attended and made this another very successful event.
